Past Competition Horses

Knickerbocker

"Knick" is a 1995 thoroughbred gelding. Knick competed through the Intermediate level, and went to two CCI one stars. Knick was and continues to be a "in it to win it competitor".
Due to a broken hock, Knick retired from upper levels in 2006.
He has since recovered and is rocking it at Novice and Training.
His plans are to go to the Training three day with Kari Archambault this fall, and to groan during all three phases.

"Summer Knight"-Panther

Panther was always in the top after dressage! He was very successful through Training level, but had to be retired sadly before his true potential could be shown. A stunning jumper, and wonderful horse all around. Panther had two colic surgeries, but happily retired to a farm in Luray where he lived out the rest of his days in luxury!

"Just Rosie"- Rosie
Rosie was purchased from Stephen Bradley in 1999. She was a wonderful horse for me to work with at the time, a true mare experience. Rosie was an amazing jumper, and had a very quirky personality. (She was the first mare that threw herself on the ground in a tantrum, Callie was the second :) Rosie went back to Stephen when I went back to college, and found a great new home.

"Flying Colors"- Daisy - The one that started it all!!!

Daisy was my first horse.  She is a 14.2 and 1/2 hand mare (with out shoes) and a 14.3 and a hair with shoes. I measured her often, so I could call her a horse.
Daisy and I often got in trouble for jumping the prelim fences bareback. We didn't get it.
She competed through training level and always jumped clean. A great first horse.
She was purchased by the Easton family, who will always be one of my top favorite clients.
Daisy went on to show two of the daughters the ropes at eventing, and give the rest of the family some riding miles.
She still lives at Waredaca, receiving the most amazing care. The Eastons have done such an amazing job with her.

Sales Horses and Clients horses competed

"Quizzical"
Quiz was a spunky draft cross that I competed. He was owned by Elysian Hills. He was a blast to ride, and was always competitive. He excelled both as a fox hunter and an eventer. He made his new family very happy.

"Sassy Exchange"
Aka Bootie. Bootie was also a sale horse for the beautiful Elysian Hills. He was a joy to ride. He provided countless hours as my lungeing horse, for me to perfect my dressage on. I was fortunate enough to ride with Susan Gustafson, who has an amazing eye.
Bootie also excelled as an event horse.

"Mel"
Mel was the first horse that I rode where I understood what "crack their back" really felt like. Also a horse from Elysian Hills. Poor Stephen and Leighanne spent countless hours trying to teach me how to go with him. The first horse that they let me do all the preliminary stuff on.
Mel was sold to a beautiful home in Orlean, and has the good life.

"Leprechaun"
Leprechaun was also a spunky draft cross. Leprechaun could jump the moon! Leighanne and I would often put the jumps to the top of the standards, and he never let us down (thank god).
Leprechaun was very successful at everything he did. Small but mighty.

"Diplomatic Image"

I will always have a special place in my heart for Diplomat. He was a big quirky bay. Owned by Beth Carey, he always had the best of care, and the best turn out possible. (Thank god because I was a hot mess back then!) He was amazing in all three phases, and was only limited by his occasional "blonde moments". Diplomat could jump the moon.
I believe he was sold to a young lady who continued to do some eventing with him.

"Cache and Carry"
Cache was also an Elysian hills owned horse. He was in it to win it, whatever "it" was. A blast to ride on the cross country! He was a little grey with a big personality.

"Boscoe"
Boscoe was owned by Waredaca. I competed him, and always had a smile on my face. Boscoe was like Daisy, a great horse for my development as a rider. Boscoe was sold to a wonderful home.

"S.S. Buckshot"

My little buddy Buck. Buckshot has been successful through the novice level competing, and has been schooling Training level. He never incurred a cross country penalty. Buck has a ton of personality. He is currently being co-leased by Alison Boyer and Hannah Shipley.
