Waredaca

Well what a weekend! Beast (Mahogany Beauteo) did her first prelim and was a Rock Star!!! I don't know if this horse is for sale anymore! She was spot on all day, and I couldn't have asked her to try any harder. What a wonderful horse. She finished 5th, and I can only hope she does so well at Rubicon!
Emily made real strides with her show jumping, she really had her leg on and her Mare is jumping great. A little strength training, schooling, and getting our breathing straightened out and she will be ready for Surefire in no time.
Kari rocked it on Knickerbocker, she always does. My what a competitive division! Knick sure is something else and he will be the first to let you know. I can think of no one that could do a better job with this horse. I am so happy to watch this pair, they finished 11th..... Way to go!!!
All my other friends from Southern edition farm brought home a rainbow of ribbons (big surprise ;-)!
It was a beautiful weekend and a beautiful event. Waredaca always does such a nice job, and I would like to say THANKS! to all my friends there!
We also couldn't have done it with out my wonderful working student Lexi, and my good friend/student Alison! THANK YOU!!!

May 25th

Wow !!!!! Yesterday was the kind of day where I feel so lucky to do what I do! Callie was better then I could have ever dreamed of! We went to beautiful Serra Valley, and rode with my friend/student Alexa. This was Callie's first time traveling to get ridden, yet alone in an indoor, and an indoor decorated with jumps. No sweat! This mare just shows more and more promise!
Beast was a little worker bee as always. Who says mares aren't the best?
I then took Buckshot for a trail ride by himself. A lot of Buckshot's potential future families have asked about him on the trails. I figure I better get him trail riding at least once a week! He was perfect through the fields and through the woods! He will be xc schooling next Tues, and going to Morgan run for a trail ride later in the week.
The ever quirky Brighten was a superstar, and I think we are getting closer to figuring this little ball of talent out.
Then to finish out the day, Both of my private lessons rode like rock stars.
The only questionable moment was the discovery of some badger like creature that lives behind the trailers. Do we have badgers in MD? :-)

Ms. Gena aboard the fancy Brighten, practicing in the equitation class. Brighten is a smart little Connemara who seems to be telling us he likes a hackamore, we will double check tomorrow on our Sunday schooling outing!

Maddie warmed up Ernie for her older sister, earning herself a blue ribbon. She set the stage...Lexi was not to be outdone, earning herself two blues. Go Cindrics!!!! (check out Maddies perfect position!!)
Here's Hayley (mid kick) aboard Satin. Hayley did a great job earning ribbons as colorful as her helmet cover!!! There's mom and dad in the background! Thanks Mom for holding Maggie all day!Posted by Picasa
Just making sure Callie doesn't feel left out! She is doing so well, Every time I ride her I just feel so lucky! She has her first field trip next Tues. Wish me luck!!!

Here's Piper aboard Mikey getting ready to earn her Rainbow of ribbons at the Darenth Farm show. Piper cleaned up and schooled Mikey, despite the fact that shes 5 and a lot of her competitors were a decade older....Go Piper!!!
Here's Hannah aboard Buckshot for her second time riding him! Hannah got a Blue a red and a couple other ribbons! Click to watch the video of Hannah over the 2'6'' course!

Here's Hannah riding Buckshot in a jumping lesson! Now that he's officially for sale, we want to get him all tuned up and geared for the perfect purchaser. Hannah did a super fantastic job and Buckshot was a star. Hannah is 13 and does a good job with all the horses at Darenth. She may be riding him in our farm show tomorrow!!! Good luck everyone!

Buckshot went to Loch Moy today and schooled the competition course. He was wonderful as always. We are really looking forward to his first recognized event at Rubicon! Beast had a dressage lesson with Susan Graham White yesterday and worked very hard! All of the horses seem to be in a pretty good place this spring! Callie is coming along nicely and will have her first field trip in the next two weeks or so.
All of 0ur students are working hard and preparing for the upcoming events. Lexi is still recovering from a fall while schooling a green horse at a hunter pace.
We have many outings coming up, check out our google calender, or let us know if you are interested in joining or watching! http://www.google.com/calendar/render?tab=mc

Congrats!

Despite the "TE" next to her name....we all must be informed that if it weren't for her extreme focus on her wonderful riding, Emily would have won at Loch Moy, with her dressage score of 29! In our book she still got first place! Congrats Emily! You rose to the occasion and your hard work paid off! Emily and Charlie looked like a million bucks while they cantered right past fence 9 on cross country!

Buckshot at Loch Moy!

What a wonderful weekend we have had! S.S. Buckshot was a true professional at his very first Beg Novice event! Despite wind gusts of up to 40mph, blowing tents falling standards and a busy warm up area, Buckshot put his little nose to the grindstone and tried his hardest!
As always Loch Moy was beautifully run with friendly volunteers, beautiful facilities and a true first experience at Beg. Novice! We cant wait for Rubicon!
Buckshot is proudly owned by Darenth Farms and is being offered at $10,000
(price will increase based on training)

Callie!

Callie is all settled in at her summer digs! We would like to thank Stephen Bradley for our new 4 year old California Comet! She will be spending the summer relaxing and trail riding ready to make her debut in late summer. Words cant express how exciting this is and how incredible Dave is for being so supportive! Looking forward to good news posts for Callie soon!

Kudos to my students for their performance at Fair Hill! Lexi placing 5th at her first beg. novice after a much improved dressage and double clean and clear jumping! Everyone rode wonderfully and the hard work really paid off!
S.S. Buckshot will be making his big debut at the Beg. Novice level this weekend at Loch Moy Farms! I am so excited to be the one piloting him! Stay tuned for Photos and Results.
