MARLBOROUGH!

We had a greaaaaat weekend!!!!!
Marlboro was fun, once everyone could figure out how to get there!
The beg novice course was inviting, for the most part.
The water was tricky, although they made up for it by not actually flagging the water .
All of my students went through it with no problem!
They had a ramp, 4 or 5 strides into the water, then a ramp out!
Hunter had a beautiful dressage test! He earned a 37, had only one rail in the rail dropping ring, and went clean XC. He rode fancy slow and careful, just like instructed!!! What a amazing first recognized event!
Lexi, despite Ernie losing yet another shoe the day before, pulled off a great dressage test! Ernie's back is feeling good (thus the shoe pulling) over tracking the whole time. I will admit, Ernie is kind of a butt head about dressage. She rode wonderfully in SJ and went around perfect in XC! Not many kids could keep Ernie together like Lexi does!
Emily, who ended 6th in a very large division, had a 34 in dressage. Charlie was tense his first 3 fences in SJ, but then settled beautifully. Watching his xc, I can't believe this is the same horse as last year!!!! He was amazing!
Emily also competed Jazz, novice. She earned a 32.5 in her dressage, putting her in first. Em SJ beautifully and went XC perfectly!.........UH OH they announced a stop at the water??? The water wasn't flagged for novice either though? Emily talked to the td who said "no you had a stop at the bank." Long story short, Emily did not have a stop, but they gave her one anyway. The important thing is that we all know how awesome Jazz was.
Beasty was her wonderful complex self. I got my dressage tests mixed up, but sorted it out before going into the ring. (Thank god) Beasty threw me a bone this day, holding both her counter canters, and doing all her movements fairly agreeably! SJ she warmed up well and jumped tense in the ring! A beautiful round with a ton of rails. Jumper shows for Beasty! Xc was a blast, Beast rocked it out as usual. The course was straight forward, except a one stride off a bank into the water, up a bank, tight two stride to a house out, A rather tight bounce, and a couple other random tough questions.
Beasty ended 4th!
Um so if any ones thinking of having a nice easy run, From what I saw of the training level, it looked kind of tough! A big airy trakehner, a bank to bank, to house at the water?!
I think all the courses, except the beg novice had some random hard questions for the level!
Oh and try not to get lost in the woods! ( I did! arghhh I am such a space cadet!)
Today I'm off to Stephen's for a show jump school with Beasty. Tomorrow Callie goes to Susan G White, busy busy!
I am so proud of all my students!
We are getting ready for Morven and the unrecognized at Loch Moy!
