Weekend Wrap Up!!!

What a weekend!!!
Both girls were stars!
Callie was actually somewhat pleasant to bathe and braid. She likes it when I braid her forelock. She thinks this is proper appreciation and treatment of a little star.
Callie was just perfect in warm up and in the ring. She did have a hard time transitioning from the hard ground in warm up to the deep footing in the dressage ring. I think she had the most relaxed test to date, so I thought her score was a bit harsh. She was great in show jumping. She jumped clean with only 1 time penalty.
Cross country was fabulous after "a rough start out of the box" as Brian O'Connor called it. I call it something that I can't write on this blog!
I stayed on her as she leaped about, and somehow I almost got kicked by her right-hind, from on top of her. Once I got her going and had a jump to focus on, she was a star. She ended 7th in a competitive division. Go Callie!
Sharon had another great day on her horse Cappy. Her horse jumped the best he ever has other then the part when she dropped her reins in front of a fence and got tangled in a re approach. I thought little Ossi was a true professional as she picked up and had a truly amazing round.
Kp did an awesome job on her horse Ivan, piloting him around his second training (and what a solid one at that). She ended on her dressage score of 25.9!
Beast was a gem the whole day. She warmed up well, but a little worried about the hard slick footing. Beast was quite pleased to go in the ring, and did not have a hard time transitioning. She was great. Kp was nice enough to come help me and reminded me to relax right before I went in. It really helped a lot. I thought about relaxing and sitting tall the whole time. The pieces are starting to come together! Be Be got a 38.6.
She show jumped like a champ. All horses are always a bit backed off in the ring at Waredaca, but Beasty put her feelings aside and jumped beautifully. She tried her hardest to jump clean, but I cost us a rail, kicking for a long one.
Cross country was great! Beast jumped around the course really well, and it was a course that caused a lot of problems.
Then after I was done riding, Kp took over Beast while I aimlessly wandered about. I was attempting to put all my stuff away, and do the regular chores but was not my usual self. I haven't felt well all weekend. I thought it was nerves, but I find myself still not feeling well today(Monday). Mags was sick to her stomach friday, who knows?
Beasty ended third! She won us a credit to Waredaca, and a GRC photo shoot! Perhaps we will do a Darenth family shoot.

After I was done at Waredaca, Dave, Maggie, and Kellen waited to get Beast and Callies ribbons and tests. Then they took Beasty back while I shot over to Loch Moy.
It was really nice to have Kellen at the show also, for Dave Maggie and I! (He even cooked us dinner the night before, vegetable stir fry in a peanut sauce!!!!)

At Loch Moy, Katie did BEAUTIFULLY!!!!
She had a great dressage, scoring a 36 and jumped DOUBLE CLEAR AGAIN!!!!
I can't belive how Riley is jumping so careful up front, and behind! A true testament to how much leg Katie is supporting him off the base with!!!!

I had planned to take a few days off from riding, but feel refreshed and ready to go now.
Beast will still get a mini vacation, Callie will have today maybe lunge tomorrow, but start back up Wed. Summer will flat today, and go to Morgan Run Sunday!
Check back for Pictures and Video!!!
